Before you go
The Palomas side is narrow with tight hairpins and coaches at weekends. It's one of the wettest places in Spain, so expect damp, slippery patches even in spring. Grazalema village is the lunch stop.
Which way round
El Bosque to Zahara, so you climb the Boyar and descend the Palomas hairpins.
When it’s open
Normally open all year, though snow can close it for a day or two.
The route
- El Bosque
- Puerto del Boyar
- village
- Puerto de las Palomas
- Zahara de la Sierra
