Commercial transparency

Useful first. Commercial second.

Some links may earn The Stradale a commission, at no additional cost to the visitor.

How affiliate links work

If you follow a marked affiliate link and complete an eligible purchase or booking, the third-party provider may pay us a commission. The provider controls its tracking window, attribution rules, price, availability and customer service.

The Stradale does not process hotel or tour bookings. Your contract is with the third-party business you choose.

Who we work with

Hotel links to Booking.com go through Stay22, an affiliate service. If you book after following one, Booking.com pays Stay22 a commission and Stay22 shares part of it with us. You see the same Booking.com page and pay the same price. Stay22 takes you to the exact hotel or search we linked to; it doesn’t send you somewhere else. Links to a hotel’s own website, tour operators, events and roads carry no commission.

How we label them

Links capable of earning commission will be identified close to the link with wording such as “affiliate link” or “we may earn a commission”. Sponsored features will be labelled “Sponsored”. A general disclosure hidden in the footer is not a substitute for labelling the commercial content itself.

What money cannot buy

Affiliate relationships and sponsorship do not change community ratings, access reports or security reports. Paid placement will not be presented as an independent recommendation. Where we compare providers, relevance and usefulness come before commission rate.
