The Stradale is currently a pre-launch project intended to be operated by a UK sole trader. The controller’s legal name, service address and public email will be inserted before commercial launch.
Information we collect
When you submit a review or a find, we may collect your chosen display name, vehicle details, ratings, comments, source links, photographs and submission time. Members may also store vehicles, mileage, renewal dates, itineraries, readiness checks, advert links, buying lists, wanted adverts and private notes. People replying to a wanted advert provide their name, email address, message and optionally a vehicle link. If you contact us or send pre-launch feedback, we may receive your name, email address and message. Hosting systems may also record basic technical and security logs.
Why we use it
We use information to publish and moderate useful community reports, respond to enquiries, correct records, prevent abuse and operate the site securely. We rely on legitimate interests for ordinary operation and moderation, and on consent where it is appropriate, including optional material you choose to submit.
Public contributions
Reviews, display names, vehicle details and submitted photographs may be visible publicly. Do not submit private information, number plates, faces or material you do not have the right to share. Contact us if you want a contribution reviewed or removed.
Private and shared member content
Roadbooks, Garage records and Buying Scrapbooks are private to the signed-in member by default. If a member turns on sharing for a Roadbook or Buying Scrapbook, anyone with the unique link may view the information shown on that shared page. Garage renewal dates, private trip notes and readiness checks are not included. Members should not add booking references, registration documents, home addresses or other sensitive information to anything they intend to share.
Wanted adverts and replies
Wanted adverts are public while their status is open. The buyer’s account email is not displayed. A person replying chooses to share their name, email, message and optional vehicle link with the member who posted the advert. That information appears in the member’s private inbox and should only be used to discuss that enquiry.
Sharing, retention and transfers
Information may be handled by service providers used for hosting, storage, security and email. Submitted text and images may be processed by an automated content-safety provider solely to decide whether human review is needed. We do not sell personal information. We keep information only while it remains useful for the stated purpose, legal obligations or dispute handling, and review published contributions when removal is requested. Some providers may process information outside the UK using appropriate safeguards.
Cookies and third-party links
The pre-launch site does not intentionally use non-essential advertising cookies. If analytics or affiliate tracking is introduced, the cookie controls and this notice will be updated before those tools are enabled. Third-party sites apply their own privacy and cookie policies after you leave The Stradale.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or object to processing. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office. Contact details for exercising these rights will be added before launch.
